Stormwater Attenuation and Management
Stormwater systems are designed to mitigate the risk that rainwater runoff from a development site exceeds the capacity of the local drainage system. Very high rainfall intensities can occur for short periods and these can overwhelm pipe-based systems for brief periods and cause local flooding if the event is severe enough and of sufficient duration. Attention is also needed on impervious sloping sites where focused flow paths and high rainfall velocities can cause flooding on low parts of a site. Halsted Rain can provide a range of solutions to manage these flood risks and collaborate with developers to design a site layout, topography and attenuation to meet modern sustainable drainage requirements.
